Welcome.

“What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever said?” asked the boy.

“Help.” Said the horse

There are many reasons why people seek therapy. Life can be challenging; problems, worries, sadness and losses happen and sometimes we just don’t feel our best self. Whatever the reason, therapy offers a safe space for you to talk through and explore your issues and consider changes you may wish to make to your life. With better insight into your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, you will hopefully find a way to live life more fully.

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.

My approach.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I believe that every person is unique and needs to be seen and understood as an individual. Therefore, I adapt my way of working to suit the individual I am working with.

At the heart of my work is the relationship between myself and you, my client. It is only by ensuring that you feel comfortable and safe in the therapeutic space that we can begin to work towards achieving your goals.

I am trained in using a range of modalities, including Person-centred, Psychoanalytic, Systemic, Cognitive Behavioural and Solution Focused therapies. Together, we will tailor a way of working that ensures you feel safe and comfortable whilst working towards your desired outcomes.

What to expect

I offer a free initial telephone consultation, usually taking around 15 minutes. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, establish availability, and if you wish, book an initial assessment.  Alternatively, an initial session can be booked via website, email or telephone.

The initial assessment session is an opportunity to get to know you. We can discuss what areas or issues you would like to work on and the ways in which I may be able to support you. At the end of the initial assessment, we can agree on whether (and how) you would like to continue our work. It is important that you feel I am the right therapist for you.

Once our work commences, we will meet weekly (or fortnightly) at a set time as agreed. Sessions last 50 minutes and take place at Space To Be You, comfortable, peaceful and confidential therapy rooms in Hackney, East London. Ou r work can be open-ended (ongoing for as long as necessary) or time-limited (for an agreed period established at the beginning of the work).

I also offer sessions online and via telephone.
